Teresa began early, venturing into the water as soon as she could walk. Her
father had ideas of raising her as a racer, but
the smell of the grease and roar of the engine kept pushing Teresa back to
the water.
Her formative years were spent in apparant open denial of the law of
growing webbed feet if in the water too long. She went so far as to
test the limits of gill development by spending more time at the bottom
of the pool than the top.

In 1983, Teresa became co-captain of Treefort, aboard which she
began to cruise the South Bay. It was on Treefort that Teresa began perfecting
The Yellow Gloves(tm) as the prefect boating accessory.
While anchored in the South Bay sloughs, Treefort was never without tablecloth and candles as we sat around the table with friends (there wasn't enough headroom on Treefort to stand) enjoying a bountiful feast. The rest is her story. |
